Remote Observational Camera (ROC) Surveillance
When the presence of an investigator would cause suspicion, remote cameras are optimal. An environmental assessment is performed before cameras are placed. This option is effective when the time and location are appropriate.
Half Day vs. Full Day
Hours on-site largely impacts desired outcomes. When analyzing Frasco’s surveillance data and industry findings over a period of 10 years, we have established that:
- Full days (minimum of 8 hours) are 46% more likely to produce video
- Full days result in nearly 9x more video than half days (typically 4 hours)
Half-day surveillance is only recommended in circumstances where a subject is determined to not be at home or not living at a provided or developed address. If a subject is home, full days of surveillance is recommended. For one of our top clients, investigative providers get video on 75% on full day cases versus 35% on half-day cases.
With full-day surveillance, you will get the most value out of the investigation and yield the best ROI. If you require assistance in crafting the right action plan, please contact your dedicated Investigative Consultant.
