This course aims to educate claim professionals more deeply on the power of background investigations by providing a thorough explanation of the types of record searches available. Background Checks are often considered “of course you know” information within the claims industry which can lead to an adjuster genuinely never receiving adequate training on what a background check should include, what it doesn’t include and more importantly how the information provided can and should lead to a deeper level of investigation. Our goal is to ensure every level of claims professional knows what service tiers are appropriate for every type of claim, and the importance of research methodology and why who is doing the research matters more than you might think.
